Are you worried about the look of a scar?
Whenever the skin on your body suffers from trauma of some sort, a scar is formed as a way to protect the wound and surrounding areas from the risk of further infection. If you have undergone recent surgery Epicyn can be used to prevent the appearance of a keloid or hypertrophic scar.
Indications for use
Epicyn is indicated as an adjuvant in the wound healing process with wounds that can only heal by secondary intention in the maturation phase. Epicyn is effective for the management and reduction of new and existing hypertrophic and keloid scars. Epicyn assists with moistening while forming a protective barrier against physical, chemical and microbial invasion of the scar.

Scientifical studies
A double-blind, multi-center study was undertaken to evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of Epicyn Hydrogel as compared to Kelo-cote in up to 40 adult subjects with hypertrophic or keloid scars. Qualified scars included linear or widespread hypertrophic scars and keloids treated three times a day for eight weeks. The age of target scars was in the range of between three months, at a minimum, to one year, at a maximum. There were no adverse events related to the products.
